I thought you deviants were just making stupid jokes about neo soul

We had a stage setup and the artist came to say this was a neo soul night. I thought he was in on the joke, but he kept just taking it too far. I treated him like he was telling me spinal tap was real. I gagged along with all the artists as they brought their infinite reverb pedals up. Finally I gagged along with them and then asked what they were really playing and they got all pissed at me.

Turns out neo soul is real and they are as goofy, smelly, ivory tower academic weenies as shoegaze and snob jazz

Bar sales were less than crap. Many a person who wandered into the room died of boredom. Many more died of elitist apathy.

I don’t know what it is either, but I know he was really using that term for a month in every thread he was in, maybe he could give an example?

I’m actually being serious 🧐
 
If Gary Moore never took a stab at it, it must not be very juicy to play..

Or did he, and I just missed it?

He left voluntarily. He said in a thread or post months back about his time here had come to an end. I feel like it was loosely connected to Lisa and the little forum battles they used to have - which I don't miss. Could all be coincidence that he left around the time she did.

I don't know what neo soul is either but when I hear the term - I think of John Mayer :dunno:

Oh @scottosan? For sure. Especially for $350 or whatever. That's a great example of knowing enough about amps to troubleshoot them in a pawn shop (for example), and tell the shop owner, "Yeah, this amp is pretty much shot, but I can still use the box and the speakers" :lol:

@scottosan is a cool dude. He builds pickups from scratch and recently moved to Japan :yes:
