Ever had a band or artist you’re not into or just are indifferent about and you find a video where you’re kind of blown away with how good it is?
Hats off to these guys on this one…algorithm sent it my way and it was a nice surprise.

I was that way about Ghost until I saw them live. I'd heard really only a few of their songs up until that point, (opening for Iron Maiden), but became a fan after. I still don't like EVERYTHING, but they have a some good material.

Volbeat is another. Behind the corny radio-friendly poppy garbage, there's some great stuff on some great albums.

i used to see Carmine Appice in all these documentaries and stuff thinking why is this guy in so many documentaries, i thought vanilla fudge was basically a cover band?? i saw this though the other day and they definitely rocked for the time

I’ve always loved the overwrought emotions in this one 😁

Ghost is amazing! Meliora is one of the best and only albums I like from the recent years.

I was like that until I saw blue oyster cult live . Their lead guitarist now was amazing af . And they all had great tone . Dharma through a fender supersonic . His tone sounded a lot like Eric Johnson . It was great

BOC has some great stuff. It's like spooky comedy rock. I can definitely see how people would get a lacklustre opinion of them based on radio songs (Don't Fear...) just because that song has had the shit played out of it and it effectively became a joke. I think they have a hardtime with a sonic identity having multiple lead vocalists

I used to work with Trevor Peres of Obituary.. He gave me a copy of Slowly We Rot when it was released. I thought it was silly, even funny...

Then, I went to see them live. They kicked all kinds of ass, and my death metal journey began. Living in Tampa helped.

I still really dig their early to mid 70’s records. Their really hard to categorize which makes them even more appealing to the ears.

Limp fucking Bizkit….
Don’t care for them at all, but I’ve watched a couple of their shows on the Youtoobs and they absolutely destroy live. The energy is off the charts (band and crowd), they’re tight af with a killer rhythm section, Durst owns the audience, and Wes Borland is wicked at what he does with great tone to boot.
Ima go take a shower now….

Was never into prince, but watched an SNL performance like 10 years ago maybe… I think he used a boss slicer in the end of the song… he killed on guitar, and when he finished he just chucked his guitar straight up in the air and walked off stage. One of his roadies caught it. I had no idea he could play prior to that.

Was never a huge obituary fan, but during the plandemic they did a livestream of them playing an album all the way through.

Given how pro-tools-y and gay and lame most "technical death metal" is now, this performance totally impressed me
