...gift card to large online music gear retailer. What do you get?

The Schecter KM-7 looks great. Maybe an Ibanez RG752. Les Paul Signature T or Traditional.

Schecter KM-7.....swamp ash body, flamed maple top, ebony board, stainless frets, carbon fiber reinforcement rods in the 3 piece maple neck, glow in the dark indicators, locking tuners, Hipshot bridge, SD Sentient/Nazgul pups...for that price, those specs are almost unbelievable. $999. In see thru black or white. Looks like this:

Check amazon. They have the white one for $792. Preorder before they fix it.

You sure about the SS frets?

Edit: I'll be damned... right there on the specs sheet... a lot of guitar for the money...

My only concern is Schecter necks are fairly large... I remember in a Youtube video he said he modeled it after the newer model that has a thinner neck, but "Thinner than a normal Schecter" could still be pretty damned thick... though I know he is used to playing his Bernie Rico's and other custom stuff... so hopefully he altered it further and didn't just go with that stock shape...

Would love to hear someones opinions once they get their hands on one... this is the only 7 I've ever really wanted, considering I've never owned one, don't want to go super high quality, and it comes as a lefty!

...sorry for the slight hijack...

Kit, if you can play an SLS model, that's the neck shape; Slim Line Series. Way thinner than reg Schecter necks; more along the lines of an ESP/LTD 7 neck, if you can try that one too. Not Ibby Wizard thin, but no way thick at all.

I'm going to have one in the next couple weeks or so, I'll let you know.

Start an order for a custom G&L or a chunk towards a Mesa MK V or a decent 2x12 cab.

Thanks man, I like the comparison to the ESP stuff, as I have good experience with them... will totally be interested in your review... do you know when they will be shipping by any chance?

Probably an N4... But if it's 1000 to like eBay I'd be looking to score a 1974 LPC in Alpine White... Mmmm...
