Losing weight is basically calories in vs calories out. Any body builder, trainer, gym rat, etc can tell you that. A friend and I were discussing the other day how calories are basically potential fuel. They test for calorie density by lighting things on fire and measuring it. So here is my little PSA for my Rig Talk brothers and sisters:
Avoid gasoline. A gallon of gasoline contains 31.5m calories. That will absolutely wreck your diet and push you into a massive calorie surplus. That's great if you're bulking, but terrible if you're trying to lose weight. Now, I know what you're thinking: Matthew, where else can I get that much sustenance for just $3? The answer is nowhere. You will not get 31.5m calories worth of food for $3 anywhere else, but I implore you to avoid gasoline. It's just not a good idea.
