Not talking about a famous tone really, just your favorite rig/amp+fx/whatever that a "pro" has or currently uses. I know it's hard to do because of people changing their rig around all the time, but give it a shot anyway

And please nobody say Neil Schon :D

My current fav: (due to change without notice)
Stephen Carpenter-Deftones-rack, 2290, jmp-1, 9200, pedal drawer, etc...

or

Myles Kennedy-Alter Bridge-Diezel Herb, Mark IV Like both bands' music as well

Adam Jones
Hetfield

This is a rig that Sean Smith owns.

i'd kill to have this tone. this is exactly whats in my head to a T - cant believe what he is pulling out of this.

its on Trace's site at voodoo amplifiers and its a modified JMP-1 all i know is that i've never heard anything like it before in any marshall, randall, peavey, or ADA preamp ive ever played.

i wish i could take zachmans rig and Sean's rig and combine them. thats my dream/holy/will never happen in my life rig.

he even runs an extremely rare MXR band EQ that sounds phenominal.

Eric Johnson = Total Guitar Video Rig
Doug Aldrich

Yeah, IMHO I think he should have stuck with that sound.
