I groom my privates so it looks like an upside down Tom Selleck with a huge nose and double chin. Is that what you meant by secret stash? The rarity factor speaks for itself.
A couple GT Shuguangs pretty much NOS like 3 or 4....... They are just good but the regular 12AX7B is awesome too and mainly use those OEM ones and save the GTs for a special amp or occasion.

Everytime I got to a dollar general, I buy a box of the little debbie Christmas tree cakes. It sucks they are sold in single serve boxes but individually wrapped, my wife has a lot of questions when I take a box and hide in the bathroom from the kids. Those wrappers make a bit too much noise.
Board on the left is approximately 2x6x55 inches and 85 lbs. Takes a long time to grow wood like that.
A lot of the good NOS tubes are expensive but there's a lot of other ones that people just don't understand and skip over. Most people would assume all stapled plate Tungsram ECC83 are all the same and nothing special but they are not if you have good ears or eyes.
If you look at the middle and right stapled plate Tungsram near the bottom there is a metal T bar on the wiring of two of them. Its hard to see but there are four seams on the top of the glass of the right most stapled tube. Not strong seams like a Mullard or Philips but very faint.
The one in the middle is the most common Tungsram ECC83 and the one people most associate with the company. Avoid that one if you can. The ones on the outside are where the specialized welded plates were made.
Looking at the welded grey plates you should see four seams on the right most tube. The other welded plate has no seams.
You can get the welded plate Tungsram sounds without paying the welded plate Tungsram price if you know what to listen or look for.
