I've played a few and thought the built quality was excelllent. Considering buying one. If you have owned or are familiar with EBMM guitars please share your thoughts/experiences about them. Any isues?

Never owned one but the ones that I have played were excellent, from what I heard great customer service as well.

Would love an Axis.

grooveHT has like 10 EBMM's... LOL! :D
I've played 6 out of the 10 I think. All were consistenly great guitars. Obviously there are personal preferences that come into play but as far as quality, they're top-notch.

My one gripe with my Axis is the direct mount pickups. While I like the concept, they're a pain in the ass to swap out.

One of the best sounding electrics I have ever played is ratters EBMM EVH. PLayed lots of Axis, Silouettes and even a few of those goofy lookig Alvin Lee models. Tney seem top notch but I am considering a Petrucci model. Never played one. I hear the necks are incredible.

The only thing I don't like about them (ok this is kind of a big thing) is I have always felt the necks and string spacing was TINY, I have pretty big hands being 6'6" so that could be part of it, my friend always tells me my hands look like Steve Vai's to give you a size comparison to neck relation, and I have always felt on any of their guitars that the neck was just to little. The one exception was the petrucci sig model it seems maybe a little wider but I just wasn't wild about the axe. The build quality, and woods along with electronics all seem top notch though!

If the Alvin Lee came with 2 humbuckers I'd own one... I think they look cool! :D

They are great out of the box players, they seem to get it just right for their price range. I have a steve morse model that is very well made and sounds pretty good. I played an EVH model awhile ago that was amazing, one of the best sounding floyd guitars I have ever played and it was priced like a used axis.

If the albert lee model didn't look retarded, I would own one.

If 2 humbuckers is not enough...

I had a Petrucci for 2 years, it was really well made, sounded great, played as good as anything I've ever played, but the neck was a bit too thin for my monster hands. If it was my only guitar I would have gotten used to it, but my McCartys have a little more meat to them, which I seem to get along with better. For multi-amp setups, they are really cool, the piezo system sounds much better than some of them I have heard (more natural) I even liked the stock pups. The fretwork was fantastic  If you like wizard-type necks, you will love it. The trem system was pretty solid, but on occasion I would have to tune it after using it hard

I only played one. The neck was to small for me also. I dont have huge hands, just use to Strats, LP and Ibanez guitars. If you have played the guitar and it feels good to you then get it. I played 7-10 PRS guitars til I found the one that felt best to me. They had also been trying to get rid of it for 6 months and made me a ridiculous deal.  It also took me many Les Pauls and Strats to find the 4 '08s I bought. I played a white Jem last year that was sooo smooth like Butta.... went back and played the only one the store had left a few months ago and I didnt like it.

Plain and simple If you like it get it.

I had a JP6 up until recently. The only reason I sold it, was to fund a deal I found here. If I could still have the JP6, I would, but my GAS got the best of me. I loved the way it played, and it was very versatile. I still have my eye on a Silhouette in the future. Played on, and was impressed to find that a standard model played as well as the signature models.

I love my 2 Steve Morse models and my Luke model. They are great guitars!

I have been playing a Petrucci since 2001. I love the guitar. I really don't even play much Dream Theater anymore at all. It is a great guitar.

The necks are small feeling but I really liked it after playing it a while. The only thing I didn't like was the one I had was brite.

I still have 3 Petrucci's, 2 Axis, and an original EVH. All great guitars. As stated already really just depends on if the guitar fits you - but the quality is excellent. One if my Petrucci's is up for sale in the classifieds if you are looking.

I don't know if they do an Alvin Lee model with 2 HBs but they do do an Albert Lee with 2 HBs. http://music-man.com/instruments/guitar ... ee-hh.html ;)

And I really like EBMM guitars. Very well built with some great necks. Great playing/sounding guitars.

I'm hooked on EBMM guitars. Best bang for the buck IMO

I'm saving for another as we speak :)
