Been thinking of maybe picking up a used PRS SE Custom 24, one of the ones with the semi-arched top (I think they started this in 2012?) and coil tap on the tone control, not one of the flat top ones. I've heard there are problem with the tuners and will not stay in tune for anything and the problem originates in the nut of the guitar and many people recommended putting graphite in the slots or replacing it altogether. Heard some guys are replacing the tuners with either Gotoh tuners or the Planet Waves Auto-Trim Tuning Machines, 3 + 3 and some people were replacing the factory nut with a PRS nut and replacing the stock pickups.

I had an SE 245. I hated that mother fucker. It would not stay in tune for any length of time. I'm sure the components in the cu24 are the same. It may help to swap the nut, it's a cheap enough part to do. If it has tuning problems that would be the place to start before spending more money on tuners.

Grab an S2, they're reasonably priced used and they play way better and stay in tune all day..

SEs are a great modding platform. I've owned a number of them, but I always replace the pickups, tuners, and nut.
