Minarik had some connection with BC Rich long ago in the 90s or earlier 2000s. I think maybe he spec'd out some insane guitars (look up the Warlock Goddess) and something with their relationship went south (shocking) and he started up his own company.

I have a very early Minarik Goddess, it was handmade (I think in Texas). It is simply one of the finest guitars I have ever played. Its a tobacco burst with some really pretty inlay work, killer woods and other materials. The pickups are really smooth too. It's my #1 slide guitar (that also sees a lot of traditional playing time.)
