My new Parker has just arrived...if you haven't played one there's no point in describing how amazing this guitar is...lowest action ever, it's like you don't even have to play yourself.
I thought the DiMarzio Tone Zone would suck, but it's actually not that bad, not even sure if I have to replace it, sounds kinda neat...

Anyways, here's a comparison of the Mesa Recto 4x12 and the Bogner Ubercab 4x12 both are single mic'd with an sm57 (on the Bogner I mic'd the v30 only):

Both are double tracked, I added a "combined" track in the end which is quadtracked, so it's actually out of the competition, just added it for fun

I'm a huge fan of the MEsa's smoothness for modern tones, but if you're looking for brutal DM tones the Bogner just sounds meaner I think

Man, the two of them together sound awesome. Mesa sounds more scooped, the Bogner is more midrange-heavy.

Sounds great. I like the Bogner on it's own a little better. They sound fantastic together.

I'm a big fan of Parkers too.

I play a Parker Fly Classic through a Mesa Mark III.

The mixed sound is huge! Those cabinets compliment each other perfectly. I preferred the Mesa standalone though.

I'd be interested to see different amps tried with both cabs.

great cabs, i own a uberkab and love it and i also have a recto cab and i like it alot.

Great Sound...I have to go with the Uberkab....sounded a little more mid-rangey, more my taste. Both sounded good though

Hard to say without being in the room. For your recording purposes I liked the Mesa, but in the room I think the Bogner would sound better. There are nuances you cannot capture with a mic. I know the Bogner cab has a great resonance to it. I never heard that in the Recto 4x12 I had. I didn't love that cab but the Bogner  Which one do you prefer in the room?

Wow both cabs together sound unbelievable.
I have to agree, sounds pretty massive!!

If I had to pick one, I'd very slightly prefer the Mesa. Both together did sound massive but we were also hearing 4 tracks. I'd like to hear what they sound like together with just 2 tracks. Very cool tone in that clip.

Wow! Love them mixed and both sound great alone as well. For that style, I think I liked the Mesa just a hair more but both are great.
