Man they rocked it back in the day!!! Kick ass thrash metal at it's best!!!

cool. I remember meeting that band at a record store in Dallas in the late 1980s.

I grew up in Chicago and Zoetrope was one of the biggest names in the city. I was more a fan of War Cry, Rampage (Ravage), Trouble, and Diamond Rexx (had a pretty good guitarist).

The drummer for Zoetrope played with Trouble for a while too IIRC.

Wow, Rampage. I forgot about those guys. They played at my Junior High School when I was in 7th grade.

I saw them a few times back in the day. They were awesome! They used to play with Trouble often. I still listen to Trouble alot. One of my faves. Saw them at the first Metal fest in Milwaukee in 86? Great show. King Diamond headlined it. Death Angel & Nuclear Assault were also on that bill. Great show!!

They changed their name to Ravage when they got signed to Shrapnel. I can't believe that singer never really made it big. I think he had it from a very young age. I saw him play some outdoor gig in a gazebo in Schaumburg when he was 18 or 19 and he floored us. He was like a ballsy, more manly sounding, metal version of Klaus Meine.

This was from their demo in 1985:
