Herbert MK-1 Footswitch

Was super excited to buy a footswitch for my MK-1 Herbert until I realized it won’t work. Has anyone done a mod or work-around that allows the FS7HE footswitch to work with the MK-1 Herbert?

I’ve got a midi controller. First time ever. Need to spend some time with the manual to figure it out. Prefer just a good ole fashioned footswitch. This is the first amp I’ve ever owned that couldn’t accept a regular switch. Was hoping someone had a work around. I may ask Jens Kruse if he can wire one up for me some how. Will be sending it off to him shortly to have the decompression and variac mods done to it.

Find one of these. I bought this over 5 yrs ago and it wasn't cheap ($400)
It does double duty for both the VH4 and Herbert. (mine is also a MK1)

I also have a RJM MIDI controller and is pretty easy to assign channels, Mid Cut. Master 1 and 2.
Loop and mute as well.
