Rebel with Yellow Jackets / TAD ToneBones

I just mailed Bruce with this question and would love to know what y'all think (Bruce has not replied yet, I really have only just mailed...)

I love my Rebel, but run it 100% EL84 as I'm just hooked on that sound and the 6V6 stock sound will clearly never be my personally preferred flavour. Thus I'd like to push my luck experimenting with the other bank of tubes (incidentally, a conservative option I've considered is to try Tung Sol 6V6s just to see if they get my personal mojo working more than the stock tubes. Any thoughts?)

More experimentally, and my real enquiry, is that I'm considering buying some of those adapters which claim to replace 6V6 and 6L6 with EL84 running in Class A mode (with gain reduction:) Yellow Jackets or TAD ToneBones. I have another amp with 6L6s they might be interesting in, but if I buy them I'll want to try them in the Rebel 30.

Given the tube blend and power scaling of the Rebel, I'd be grateful for any advice as to the advisability of such an experiment.

Both the Yellow Jackets and the TAD ToneBones are available in a 'triode' option as an alternative to pentode. I wonder about thus having the Rebel offering me regular stock EL84 vs low-power triode mode Class A (?) EL84 in the 6V6 bank. I'm not sure how the voicing would be, but it might offer a 'bedroom' mode? Or might pentode mode already be significantly quieter than the stock bank - I'm not sure how these adapters interact with moderately powered amps like the Rebel...

Sincere thanks for any comments or insights or advice!
