Are there different G12 T75's?

Never seen these stickers before. What is up with these speakers? Older model or something?

I think those are late 80s/early 90s versions. The 75s first had vented magnets, nice mids and a white sticker with black print G12T75. The next version lost the magnets and some mids, same sticker. Next up were those versions you have in the pic. Decent sounding, not scooped like the current ones.

the only difference i see is the sticker, the center punch on the magnet, and the cable connection....what's the "vent"?

See the picture.

Its safe to say that if the T75's have the solder tabs and not pull tabs its Vented.

Yeah, sorry they aren't better pics. Those were the pics GC sent me. There is a screen in the center. They did them like that for a couple years or so (the previous G12-65 had them), then the divot you see today.

And FWIW, the very early vented ones were labeled 15 ohm then later 16 ohm. Then the divot.

i see...i guess mine is not vented. has the smaller hole lol...i bought it in about 99/2000

Early G12 K85s also have a vent, I have one from 85 that has it. It also has a nice midrange to it as well.

Vents or screens are a good thing when it comes to older Celestions.
