nevusofota ADA mp1!! Wath power amp do you used with the ADA?

I’ve been trying to slowly acquire and build Nuno’s recording setup as detailed by Michael Wagener. That’s the early 1.38 software version MP-1. I also have a BBE 802 (to run between the mic on the cab and the recording interface. Wagener used an old McIntosh solid state power amp but they’re pricey. I’ve been using an 80’s German made Exef solid state 260w single space power amp. I’m pretty happy with it so far. I’m currently looking for a Furman PQ-3 to boost the ADA.

Still waiting for Expcustoms rig which he said he would post. Was he trolling? Maybe he can’t deliver just like he can’t deliver selling Cameron CCV’s.

Here are a few pics with 1 before pic. I just went through a big remodel doing a ton of work to the house, actually still not done, but the Studio construction is done.

I took a bunch of pics and videos of the construction to show progress...planning to make a little youtube video showing it. I also built 28 acoustic panels and hung.

Well done! You did a nice job on that room. I like the guitar stand/cabinet, you build that?

Thanks. One of my best friends is big into wood working, makes all kinds of shit, boats, canoes, cabinets, etc... I talked over the design on paper, bought the materials and he built it for me for free. So pretty lucky with that. The bottom part holds 4 or 5 guitar cases.

A pic from out in the wild. I left the big iron at home for this racetrack gig because we had to set up in a shed and I knew I would have to keep the volume down.

Some of my stuff. The Mark IV head (black one) will be for sale after a quick trip to the tech.

It's so cute :inlove:

I'm thinking about getting two 1x12's for a stereo W/D rig instead of 4x12's at the moment. I could see getting a lot of use out of them.

Nice! Man I've been tempted, really really tempted, to pick up a Wizard. I'd pretty much have to sell most of my collection to even afford a used MTL, and I just don't feel that's a smart move having never heard one in person. Wish I could play one to see if it it'd be my thing.

Tom, if you absolutely had to sell it all and keep only 1 amp, 1 cab, and 1 guitar, what would it be? (Besides the 70's porn loveseat)

I'm sorry I missed your post bro. :aww: If I had to sell it all and keep one amp it would be the KSR Gemini. Because it kicks all kinds of ass. My black SG and my KSR cab loaded with Celestion Redbacks.

That strat is my number 1

I sanded the finish off of the neck, so it's a natural birdseye maple neck now. I also put a brass nut on it, and it's loaded with artist SRV scatter-wound pickups in the center and neck. Also put the noiseless springs on it, and I put a Wilkinson trem on it as well. I run the stock bridge pickup because it's super hot and sounds great. That guitar is the reason I sold my ESP MII custom special - it tonally does everything the ESP did but does it better. The alder body/maple top is a killer combination that I've found is damn hard to beat

Nice find on the 2240. Such a sleeper EQ. Super quiet as well.

I imported that guy from Japan. Literally the first piece of gear that I grabbed this year.

And Dave you and your video from a couple years ago are the exact reasons I've been hunting for one for many years

Do you still have that vid on your youtube channel by chance? The tone you had dialed in was just sick nasty

I deleted most of the videos. I was getting lots of questions and couldn’t answer everything. Haha

A beautiful job! Many congrats on some great work!

The Wilkinson has had my interest for years, I just never pulled the trigger on one, is it much better than stock?

A little outdated. The Diezel is gone and replaced by a new Science Decolonizer MKII.

Sadly that is only a small portion of my glassware. I stopped collecting long ago. I need to get rid of a bunch of it. We are redoing the cabinets so a lot is all set out where you see it in the pic.

My other hobby is brewing and beer which is evident if I show you a pic of the other side of my guitar room. :)

Beer on tap? I gotta come check that out!

Way better than stock. It's not even a contest. It was the first thing I did to the guitar, so I cannot make an honest comparison anymore. Highly highly recommended. It's stood up for over 6 years so far and not a single problem

Head previously owned by Billy Corgan and used on the 2000 Machina tour. Sold all of my other amps. This one's a beast.

I'm doing physical therapy to my shoulder so Im off for a few months, Ive been dragging out guitars and making them battle ready, I guess the strat will be 3rd in line. Im working on an old charvel model 4 neck-thru that I'm totally redoing all the electronics in and getting rid of all that on board crap and fitting for a Floyd. its gonna be killer.
Ill get a Wilkinson coming this way. Who do you think would have a decent price on one??

GL on the physical therapy - hope all of it turns out well

You know, I have no idea what a price for one would be today. I did mine over 6 years ago, and honestly I don't even remember where I ordered it from to be honest. Been too many years. I do know one thing though, I've held onto that strat this long for a reason. It's a killer playing guitar that also sounds great.
