Got some pics from Paul “Mister Nobody” Slagle, so thought rather than threadsurrect my old one, let’s start a NEW one that starts off hawt! For those unfamiliar with Paul’s work, he’s build/done paint and finish work for lots of folks like Echo Park, Trussart, Asher, Iconic, Waterslide, Taylor, Marvin, etc.

Specs:
• African Mahogany Neck/Body
• Cocobolo Top and Fretboard
• Arcane Custom Wound Humbucker (Bridge)
• Arcane Custom P-90 (Neck)
• Hipshot String Thru Bridge
• Nickel hardware

Yeah I have been favoring a 1 hum/1 single set up but wanted something different. I have heard great things about Arcane stuff so I’m doubly stoked.

This fretboard is pretty nutty as well! I know some folks don't care about hearing about others gear acquisitions but I get giddy over new builds!

I was putting up a LOTof threads a bit ago and I guess it was deemed excessive! LOL! I'm gonna keep at it though!

I just opted for no fretboard markers. The board is crazy figured and I was going to use abalone but we (Pittman and I) agreed it'd easily get lost. Thought about clay/beige but might look too dull. This'll be me first guitar in about 25 years that had no fretboard inlays and the last go-around was a shit show dude!

I think it'll be awesome though. I'll have them on theta of the fretboard though...

I have never seen a fretboard anywhere close to that one,thats Badass ! I would always be looking at that fretboard and not paying attention to playing !
 
Yeah, I probably would, too. Cocobolo is one of my favorite woods... sounds as good as it looks, since it is a species of rosewood. That fingerboard is absolutely spectacular! Can't wait to see the finished guitar!!

Got some details on the Arcane’s. They are custom wound/special order.

The bridge bucker is similar to the Phil X. Alnico 8, 13k or so. The P90 is about 9k and A5.

Yeah man. Glad I listened to Paul and opted for nickel hardware and not gold. Definitely going to be a looker. I played 4 or 5 of his builds now and for bigger necks, they still shred just fine.

He had some REALLY sick ones. mine is the far right. I felt it was most appropriate for the top I chose.
