The low wattage thang...

Class 5 - sounds ok but seems limited (?)
compared to ....the ...
DSL line - 1 probably too small but I think I could connect to Ext cab
DSL 5 - sounds ok, can disconnect the speaker cab and connect to external cab

The EVH lbx maybe a little too loud

Maybe the PV mh 6505

I did the blackstar 5hr...cool sounding little head.

I'd say go for an option that has a low wattage mode, but can also be loud when required.

Options include one of the Mesa Boogie mini amps (Mark V: 25 is great), a PRS MT-15 or Archon 25, or a Victory Kraken (has a 1-1/2 watt mode).

I've heard the Peavey Piranha is also quite nice.
