Chuck Schuldiner - It's been 17 years.

Yeah, it is hard to believe it has been that long. One of my biggest influences in playing style.

Evil Chuck! Just watched a good documentary on Amazon prime. He was brutal and is missed.

What's it called? I need to watch it!

Just listened to Individual Thought Patterns, Human, Symbolic, and The Sound Of Perserverence all last week. Still love it, it's top-shelf.

He advanced so much over his career. Definitely died far too young...
He sure did. Brilliant writer and player that was always expanding and innovating. Also, many badass musicians had the honor of playing for him. RIP CS

I met him in a bar in Baton Rouge, LA in the mid 90s during the tour for Symbolic. He was extremely cool, and talked with me at the bar for a good twenty minutes. He was definitely a pioneer in the metal community.

I'm sure there are countless stories like that. He was very well liked from what I've heard. I only saw him play a couple of times and wish it was more.

I have all the Death albums, I listen to them from end to end every time. It's amazing how his music evolved with each effort.

I never go to see him live :(
