Opinions on Charvel SD24 Pro Mod, ESP LTD SN-1000HT

Been on more of a hard tail kick lately... anyone have any experience with either a Charvel Justin Aufdemkampe SD24 Pro Mod (http://www.charvel.com/guitars/artist/l ... trans-red/) or an ESP LTD SN-1000HT (https://www.espguitars.com/products/204 ... es-guitars)? Can’t find any reviews online of either and no forum posts / Facebook posts in the usual locations

The Charvel is a signature model (don’t care for the band the guy plays in) but the specs look nice and the Caramelized Maple necks on 2018 pro mods have been super sick whenever I’ve played one.

The ESP LTD has the hipshot bridge I’ve been digging and Duncan’s that I’m a fan of but that headstock is a bit ugly

Any other hard tail super strat styled guitars I should be checking out? No Ibanez (can’t gel with their necks). 25.5" scale. Bonus points if it has a hipshot bridge. Would prefer to keep it under a grand (yeah I know the charvel retails for over...)

I like the overall build of the guitar but that red plus chrome looks ugly as all getout.

Schecter Elite.

Hipshot, Fishman Moderns etc....played one last week and it was pretty sick for a Schecter.

Details for over a grand, grab used if you can.

I would go MIJ. I have not been impressed with the MIM Jacksons/Charvels.

I have five MIJ Jacksons and could not be happier with the crew. One thought is that if the SC is part of the draw, get a HB sized single coil, there are a lot of options.

They don't MIJ them any more.

I'm sure he meant "buy used".

I haven’t tried the LTD, but do have the Charvel caramelized neck in drab green. I think both guitars are really good value, you probably can’t go wrong with either at that price point. So go with your gut if you feel yourself leaning one way.

If it were me, I’d get the roasted neck Charvel. I love the look, feel and playability of that Charvel roasted neck. So much so that I bought a custom roasted Charvel guitar after.

I’d agree for the most part, although I’ve had VERY good luck with the latest import Charvels and Jacksons. The MIJ models are fetching Some pretty good coin these days too, which makes them a little less attractive considering how much improvement I keep seeing in the new imports.
