F'in Reverbers!

Have cash in hand, looking for a Runt 50. Made an offer, and bought one last night. Guy takes my money, and then states "Can't ship until after the 20th" WTF? I message 3 others, and get shipping info, and ALL 3 said minimum 3-4 days, one said Saturday! WTF? Why can't people have their shit together? I'm pretty much forced to buy new, if I want a trustworthy, reliable source!

That is frustrating. With few exceptions, I'll contact a seller, big or small, before buying, even if I'm pretty confident I'm going to buy from them already just to see how they respond to a little conversation. This has saved me a lot of frustration.

That is frustrating. With few exceptions, I'll contact a seller, big or small, before buying, even if I'm pretty confident I'm going to buy from them already just to see how they respond to a little conversation. This has saved me a lot of frustration.

Exactly. And he still couldn't mention he was going to wait 5 days to ship? Maybe he had something come up in his personal life.

Said he was on vacation. So, he wasn't prepared to ship it in the first place.

How long was it up for sale? I've had shit up on Reverb for a long time and eventually life would catch up so that I'd be unable to ship it for several days if someone bought it. If he had it listed for two days then went on vacation that's a no no, though.
 
Most of the reasonable sellers will post *unable to ship until after.....* should be a standard policy but reverb could care less. If people were obligated to post shipping delays then we could say otherwise about reverb. Vacation or not it takes all of 2 seconds to log in and edit a listing. Pathetic101!!!

Some people have busy lives. If I go out of town I have a hundred things to do, I maybe would forget to post that on a listing.

At least he got back to you right away and communicated with you.

If I were the seller I would apologize and knock $50 off for the hassle.

Life is life.
 
I should've known better, but I did a Reverb transaction last weekend and the item arrived DOA again. 3 transactions and 2 have been DOA.

At least this seller didn't weasel out of the return shipping label like the last one did. Reverb customer service has been really good on this one, but I haven't got my refund yet so we will see.
 
Shady people suck but you shouldn't cry about it lol. Karama's a bitch though.
 
Maybe hes out of town? You should have asked before you made a final offer.

Yeah, you're an expert on crying. Douchebag. At least I was ready to buy, and didn't wait 4-1/2 hours to respond to answer his messages.

To give some insight, this asshole leftnuteyes inquired about my Quick Rod, and when I asked for his location, he didn't answer for almost 5 hours. Then when it sold, he had a hussy fit, called me a jerk, shady, dishonest, dick, asshole, etc. Then messaged me multiple times with insults. Yeah, real class act you are. As I said, I have a stellar reputation here as a seller. Nothing shady about it. Another forumite had his shit together and bought it. He had tracking in 30 minutes as well.
 
I sent a message at 1:17pm my time. You responded at 2:50pm my time. I responded back at 4:49pm my time. That's not 5 hours or 4 like you told me before, that's 2 hours from your reply. All I said was what a jerk when you told me it sold since I had replied first. Then you told me to go fuck myself, asked if I knew who you were like you're royalty here and called me a jackass. I did call you a jerk cause I thought it was rude but you started throwing around the profanities first not me and stretching the truth to make me sound bad. Like I said karma. You have mental issues with how you expect people to do business with you.

I merely noted that I've done many deals on here, no "royalty" remarks intended. You, afterall, had what, 4 posts here? I don't appreciate being called shady, or a "liar". You missed the boat, plain and simple, and you had to continue to fire me PMs about it. Get over it.

No not butt hurt at all actually I think this whole thing is funny and everything worked out fine. I'm glad I didn't buy his amp now and I think the karma is rich. The only reason I posted that is because he is stretching the truth to make himself look better. 5 hours is a flat out lie so sorry if you don't like being called a liar but it is what it is.

I may have mistaken the time-frame, but another member bought it before I heard back from you. End of story. And, I fully suspect a glowing review from said buyer upon receipt, just like when I sold him a Gibson Explorer, just like multiple others who left positive feedback in the feedback section, just like the 134 on Reverb, the 180 on Ebay, and the 46 on TGP. You were way out of line with your insults, and your accusations, and your PMs. Now, beat it.
