What an unusual weekend. George Lynch's ENGL was at a 'place' being repaired, and they had just finished it and were testing things out.....I had just walked in to talk to a friend, and happened to be at the right place at the right time, I got to play through it while they fiddled with the channels and settings and stuff, for about 20 minutes... so I really can't "review" the amp, just thought it was really cool to be able to play Lynch's personal rig..... also while I was there, a manufacturer had a beta test product present, and being the average guitar player on the street kind of guy, they let me fool around with it and asked for my input!??! Anyway they really like one of the ideas I suggested, just a really neat experience. Anyway, that kind of thing doesn't happen to me everyday and I thought I'd share.
They let me take a couple of cell phone pics of the amp, but no revelations on the new product allowed...

OK
I'll level with you guys, but don't tell anyone. It was the Sears repair center. The new gear was the Sears Solid State Ghost Noter, GL signature model........

I'm not familiar with the ENGL models, it said "Straight....." in cursive writing on the front. Sounded pretty cool, loud, but they didn't keep the same tone going for more than 30 seconds as they flipped through every control and beat on the board and components with a little wooden stick...

I remember seeing some pics of Lynch back in the day with an Engl, late 80's early 90's I think. Just another notch in his gunbelt for amps

It`s an Engl Straight.
It is discontinued now, you can see it in one of George`s instructional videos.
