Who makes the best Custom road cases?

I'm looking for something that would house a Diezel Vh4 and VHT UL with about 8 rack spaces on top.

I moved your thread here instead of the reviews section. You should get more responses here.

A&S makes the best but also the most expensive cases. Dave Friedman here I believe is a dealer for them.

The best cases made are made by R&R CASE in Des Plaines, Illinois. Many consider them even better than the old Kriz Kraft cases & racks. There's usually a little wait for them, but well worth it.

Dave Friedman prefers A&S because they are local to him, so if he has an issue, he can take care of it easily. Also it's lower cost to source a rack/case from him if he is putting together your rig, since you don't have to ship it to him.

A great somewhat local case maker is Hafer Case in Rosenberg, Texas just south of Houston. If you want something really custom you could make a trip over there from San Antonio and get exactly what you want. They are a serious case maker and make a great product. Plus they are super cool to deal with. My band has bought 5 to 6K of cases from them over the years and they are as good as any cases we've had including Clazone, Anvil and others.

here are 2 good ones, and there are a lot of other qaulity makers, but remember you get what you pay for, look at specs like is it 1/4 or 3/8 or 1/2 inch ply, how many rivets in it, 1 every 10 inches or 2 inches, you get what you pay for, they are not cheap,
In my avatar you can see my live in Marshall head and cabinet cases, those cost almost $1000,00 5 years ago

I have a roadcase for my Splawn QR made by X-Case from Mississippi. It's got the extra compartment on the end for f/s's and cables. It's quite a chore lifting it by myself.

head case are big enough just with a head, that extra comparment on the end must make you really stretch your arms to grab it

I`ve had some great cases done by RockHardCases as well, awesome quality. I guess you really can`t go wrong as long as the specs are right and the company has a history.

Here is a pic of what Indy Case's X-Frames look like.

What's awesome about them, is that the fronts latch into the front with one latch that catches on the metal frame. They are only 3/4" thick. Makes unloading / loading up a breeze.
