Hey
this is my 1st post where I'm not asking noob add questions about stuff I know nuthin' about :D
Last Christmas I got a mojave peacemaker and recorded it all the way up
it sounded ridiculously cool, but if you were in the same room with the amp...you would diw..I got physically ill from it

Anyways, I hired a guy in hollywood to build this for me around April and I just got it this week and tried out for the 1st time today...it works! it took so long cause I'm dirt broke, but the guy was cool enough to take payments on it.
with the hotplate on -4 and the amp all the way up (if I want) it sounds like a tiny muffled practice amp

it has multiple layers of
massloaded vinyl
mdf wood
carpet
rigid fiberglass
and resting on 2 moving dollies

(bass doesn't really transfer to the floor due to the wheels)

there are less expensive ways to do it and less heavy ways
but I had to go with this guy so I could make payments and cause I have no handyman skills :-)

Now I can record day or night in a quiet condo gated community
when I have time, I'll make some test recordings
I can always add to the inside to get better acoustics if necessary, there'
s plenty of room in there for rigid fiberglass panels or foam etc...

Pretty cool  I like stupid loud.

You'd love my wife.      JK

If I didn't have to move that it looks pretty cool. What mic? or mics?

Thats a great idea, I've been thinking about one that sits in front of a 4X12 cab, but fits pretty snug around the edges. I'm sure this one is better because it fits inside. How does it record? any clips?

moving it isn't bad, it's on wheels and the only thing is you'd need a pick up truck (I had to rent a uhaul truck to get it home)
I can push and lean it and slide it in myself, but 2 people is better :-)
as for it not being collapsible, I just have to always have a garage
as long as I do, it's cool
If I really had to, I'm sure I could take it apart and remove the sides and break the cauking

I spent way way less than the vocal booth one...the one that is like $1400 for wood and foam...originally I wanted that....I spent half the price of the vocal booth one and I think it works 2x as good
this came out pretty quiet and I think the thickenss and cauking have a lot to do with it

I'm gonna try and record a few tones and post them here later today
I have 2 mic lines and a speaker cable permanently installed into it
I'll just use 2 sm-57's
but I might try changing 1 of them for a neuman rip off condenser I have

Dont rule out the two 57's together before you try it, not all Neuman's( not sure what model its after) sound good for guitar ;)

Looks nice! My only question is, how did you afford all those staples?

That box is HUGE! Your 412 looks like a little microstack cab in these pictures.
