Anyone here spent time w/a Stevenson/PWE guitars?

I've heard about these things for a while, and would love to get some feedback from folks here.

Anyone had their hands on one of these for any length of time?

fantastic guitars in every way and stellar customer service. I love mine to death and it is my main guitar now. Think precision of a Suhr or Anderson with the vibe and organic feel of a Tyler or Grosh. Tonally mine is much bigger sounding than my other hum sin sin alder strats. I think its only a matter of time his stuff takes off. Anyone near Boston is welcome to come play it.
 
Excellent cleans, nice and harmonically rich, very fun to play. I did not get a chance to play any dirt. I also played the small one. I cannot recall the name. Some help I am. There was a clip that TM did. You can hear how much gain there is on the vid.

Well I'm half an idiot,,,,I meant the guitars :lol: :LOL:

THe Tone Merchants Video is one of his amps AND his guitars. I got to mess with his 2 channel 50 watt amp the other day and thought it KICKED ASS!! It was like a Germino channel and an XTC Blue channel all in one amp! Thought it rocked!!
 
I saw TM was listed as a dealer, but they don't list the guitars, just amps.

If I were buying one, it would definitely be there if they had 'em. :thumbsup:

I actually played his guitar aswell and very brief. He was on his way out the door. It was during Namm. I can tell you this. It plays beautiful and the craftmanship his just as good as any I have seen. He also hand builds the guitars and amps himself.

Does TM carry the guitars?
 
The guitars are amazing - as are the amps. I have to agree with everything jharpersj said. Simply a mix of the best qualities of other high end guitars. PWE will be on the map for a long time to come. Great products and stellar customer service are always a winning formula. :rock:

Yay for thread revival!

Instead of starting a new thread I just thought I would continue with this old thread here.

Have more people since had the chance of playing some of Ted's guitars? Has anyone ordered or bought a PWE guitar recently ?

I'm the proud owner of my No.1 guitar, a 2006 Stevenson Pop Classic. I currently waiting for a PWE Future 6.

Any other happy current or to be owners around here?
 
Well, TM never got them, so the only ones I was able to play were a couple they had (used) at a GC. They didn't do anything for me, but it's entirely possible it was just those two guitars; I believe they were older models. People definitely seem to dig them, but based on my own limited experience, I'd want to play before buying.
