It's the first time I made so much effort for a clip, but I think it paid off.
Wired up a W/D rig with the following chain:
Guitar (PRS McCarty with BareKnuckles)
=> Xotic EP Booster (on 10 o'clock for some additional grit to open up the tone, as the amp was at quite low volume)
=> RMC3 Wah
=> Cornford Mk50H
=> Palmer The Junction
==> Speaker Out to Heritage 2x12 mic'ed with an SM57
==> Line Out to a Providence 80s Delay and in the FX return of a Marshall 2554 Combo, mic'ed with a Sennheiser E906
The two amps are mixed 24% left/right, no effects on the recording other than some adaptive limiter on the master signal in Logic.
It was played in one go, as I said volume was quite low, so don't expect any major feeback orgy - this Setup does it great though. Turned up a bit the sound is everywhere and harmonic feedback is SO EASY to get - sorry i felt more comfortable recording this at about TV level.
Yeah I know it's a cheesy song, but I grew up in the 80s, so that is where my passion is, can't change an old man
