Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can help with a diagnosis. I changed the v1 v2 preamp tubes in my Butterslax tonight, and it was good for a few minutes then the sound cut out. I unplugged it and tried two more of the ones I just bought, still super low volume. Unplugged those ones and tried the ones that I had in before the change and they didn’t make a difference. There is still volume on the clean, but the sound on the distortion is super low. Any ideas??

I also changed v3 and v4 to try and see if that helped and still nothing
 
Email dave, he’ll steer you in the right direction.
Also, I got a tube tester just for this reason. At least you can eliminate if it’s the tube, which is usually culprit. Sometime you can buy “bad” new tubes, then you go around the death circle if you can’t eliminate variables.
