Adding the wire for Parallel-Series in a 2GBx2V30 4x12

Like, whoa. Sound is killer series/parallel, which is what your Friedman 4x12's are stock.

I added a switch to change it in my custom 4x12, and man, kicks ass for high-gain high-volume riffing.

Since the Aiken diagram is what was followed, you basically go from two 16 ohm V30's in series and two 16 ohm Greenbacks in series, paralleled at the jack,

to

two parallel pairs of a V30 and Greenback each, series at the jack.

It's REALLY different, but GODLY in how it tightens up low-end for thrash/punk/moderne styles. Midrange and top voicing are different, too.

I'd say it'd be worth at least $100 as an option, if not more. It's totes bitchin.'

Dave, do you think this change to parallel-series will affect the way an amplifier processes bass frequencies, or should we still consider a high-pass filter to clean up the mud?
