I've been praising the Aracom ever since it came out
It's hands down my favorite attenuator on the market.
I'm just not playing any amplifiers that require attenuation right now, so I'm just not using the Aracom.

Includes Footswitch & Power Supply
(BTW - You only need to use the Power Supply & Footswitch if you want to control the two separate attenuation levels)

The Dual Rox Power Attenuator (Model: DRX)

Product Highlights:

* Foot switch controls two separate attenuation levels. Allowing for separate rhythm and lead/boost levels.
* Patent Pending Attenuation design.
* Proprietary Variable Dynamic Control (VDC) Technology. The 5 position Rotary Switch allows fine tuning of the overall tone.
* Passive attenuation design, with active level switching.
* The Continuous Variable Attenuation rotary knobs control the majority of the attenuation range. Two separate Variable Attenuation rotary controls provided. One for the Rhythm volume level and one for the lead/boost volume level. Rhythm attenuation range: 4 to 30db. Lead/boost attenuation range: 2 to 30dB.

* 40dB of overall attenuation (Bedroom Mode)

* 150 watt power rating

* Impedance selector switch for 4, 8, 16 ohm operation

* Line Out with Switching Potentiometer/Mini Toggle Switch - Raw or Speaker "EQ'ed Line Output Signal

* Load Mode setting, for speakerless operation

* Rack Mount Option

* Compact, lightweight design

* Handwired in the USA

The DRX attenuator allows the user to preset one attenuation level for a lower rhythm volume level and a second attenuation level for a higher volume "lead "level, then foot switch between the two volume levels.

Old School Amplifiers:
Many guitarists playing through an "old school" non-channel switching amp, like to roll back on their guitar's volume knob, reducing the amp's overdrive, to produce clean tones and roll up the knob for overdriven tones. For live performance, the clean volume level is often too low, when compared to the overdriven volume level. With the DRX attenuator's Type "A" foot switch, the user can switch between minimum attenuation, for the clean tones, when the guitar's volume knob is rolled back and a higher attenuation level, for the overdriven tones, when the guitar's volume knob is rolled up. This allows the user to match the clean and overdriven volume levels.

Features and Specifications:

- Three position Rotary Control Switch. Select between Bypass, Minimum Attenuation (-2dB) or engage the Variable Attenuation mode.

- Two separate Continuous Variable Attenuation Rotary controls.
The front panel Rotary knob controls the Rhythm volume level.
The side Rotary knob controls the Lead/Boost volume level.

- Variable Dynamic Control (VDC) allows the user to adjust the dynamic response between DRX attenuator and the speaker(s). The five position VDC Rotary Switch allows the user to fine tune the overall tone.

- Front panel and side panel user controls. Rear Panel for all interconnections.

- 40dB attenuation mode, via the front panel toggle switch
* Attenuates 150 watts down to .015 watt

- 150 watt (continuous average) power rating

- Impedance selector switch for 4, 8, 16 ohm operation

- Attenuator Bypass Switch (True Bypass)

- Load Mode, for speakerless operation

- Line Out with Switching Potentiometer (Push/Pull) - The Line Out Signal level can be fixed, based on the amplifier's output signal or it can track the Rhythm/Lead-Boost volume levels. The Line Out's mini toggle switch allow the user to select between the raw Non-EQ'ed or EQ'ed (Speaker Filter) Line Out Signal

Line Out unbalanced, 1/4" phone jack: approximately 30k ohm -mid range. A 1/4" to XLR Line Matching (Impedance) Converter is available as on option.

- 2 Speaker Jacks (wired in parallel)

- Passive attenuation design, the provided wall power supply is required for switching between the Rhythm and Lead/Boost volume levels. The attenuator can also be used as an all passive attenuator, without the wall power supply. When the wall power supply is not used, all of the front panel controls remain active and the Lead/Boost feature is disabled.

- Extended top panel, protects front panel switches and knobs

- Rugged, black anodized or powder coated aluminum housing,

- 19" Rack Mount Option

- Wall Power Supply (90-240VAC). The DRX attenuator can be used without the Power Supply, when only one attenuation level is desired.

- Handwired (Point-to-Point wiring) and Handcrafted in the USA
* Each DRX attenuator is constructed and tested "in house" at ARACOM Amplifiers.

Weights and Dimensions:
- Weight of attenuator: 7 lbs (3.2kg)
