Dear all,

we are proud to present two new products during the AES show :

The TORPEDO Live, a light version of the critically acclaimed Torpedo VB-101 featuring all the incredible functions we were the first to release back in 2008 :

The TORPEDO PI-101 Wall of Sound Edition : mix up to 100 cabs together using the Torpedo technology or 3rd Party impulses. You think your computer can't handle so much convolution processing ? Well, we worked a lot on optimization, you'll be surprised !! This new version is given for free for the user of the previous PI-101 version.

What's the difference in the Live and VB?

Is that new PI a separate install or is it an update to the existing PI?

The live is a "light" version of the vb_101. We will publish the full functionalities soon, but the main differences are :

- no overload or varihphi parameter
- no graphical display
- less weight
- 1U rack
- reactive loadbox
- less I/Os (no AES for example)
...

The new PI-101 is a free update for all previous users of the PI-101.

Any ETA on when the Wall of Sound edition is going to be available?

And are there any clips of the Live yet?

For now, you can hear the result by instanciating multiple PI-101's on a single track either by bussing in parallel or by cloning the track. The WOS update will allow one to handle this process in a far more elegant and simple manner.

The WOS includes pan, solo and mute for each speaker/mic combo that is independent of the daw's solo/mute/pan so one can hone in on the perfect tone quickly and easily. Like all plug-ins, one can store and recall a set-up.....a great way to build a library of your killer tones or have a starting point for further processing.

Hi Rogue,

the beta test is on the final phase, so we are not that late. With a little luck next week we will have something. ;)

EDIT : this is the first video using the PI-101 WoS beta :
