Power amp sims in the TNTL

I am using my TNTL right now to a FOH and thru to a cab with my VH4. I have never turned on the power amps sims. But, turning it on with the 6L6 sim adds another complete dimension of whoop-ass.

Think I will mic the cab straight to the PA and run the TNTL with the power amp sims on and mix it up. Could make for a cool combination.

Anybody else give this a go?

I did a lot of tests and I find very interesting to add the power amp sim even on already amplified signals.

I personally never mixed mic cab and TNTL with power amp sim, but I can give you an advice: the signal coming from the Torpedo Live output will arrive 3ms after the one form your miked cabinet.

So, if there is no delay compensation, you may experience some phase cancellation if the signals are downmixed to mono.

If the two signals are panned LR, you'll get a great stereo effect.
