TNTL Capture Issue

I'm having an issue when I capture where the sound level is constant for maybe ten seconds or so then I get this low frequency tone that increases both in volume and frequency. I've stopped capture for fear of blowing my speakers. Here's my setup:

Mesa Dual Rec (8ohm out) > TNTL (speaker input 8ohm) > TNTL Line out > Fast Track Ultra > M-audio BX2 speakers.

The master volume on my amp is low, input level on TNTL is -18, output level on TNTL is -18

As a test I disconnected everything and just running the capture with no input does the same thing. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, Torpedo Capture is used to create an IR of your cabinet/speaker/mic/mic placement combination. The output is connected from the sound card to your power amp input, ideally a clean full range poweramp. This amp is then connected to your guitar cabinet. The mic is placed at the desired position, connected to a pre-amp with the gain properly staged and the output of this pre-amp is returned to the daw/sound card.

Once the IR has been created and saved, you can then load it into the Torpedo.
