Hello,

I recently purchased a new Le Lead pedal which sounds great in my Headrush Gigboard’s send/return.

However, I notice a wire wrapped around the tube nipple, extending down and connected to the tube socket. (Please see attached pic.) I don’t see this wire in any other LePreamp pictures online and it looks a bit unprofessional and jerryrigged. Also, the tube is not straight—it is angled toward the floor. Is this normal?

Thank you.

I believe that's as it should be. Looks similar on my le Crunch. Compare to this video at around 5:16:

It looks like they haven't always used that spring: http://support.two-notes.com/knowledgeb ... rticle=272
Maybe that's why you haven't seen it on others.

Yes. I really like le Crunch! And with a cab M going into a studio monitor or headphones it should be the optimal home amp (not cheap though). Big sound but quiet if need be. But I haven't tried that yet. Just on the brink of succumbing to WANT.

We added that spring on the latest batches to make sure the tube doesn't move too much during transportation (even if it's very hard to make it move ,even without the spring).
