Hey guys,

I have a live show coming up and own an 8ohm Torpedo Captor Device. The amp is an evh 5153 6l6 which can switch between 16/8/4 ohms and a 16ohm 2x12 evh Cab. I need to use the attenuator function of the torpedo but I'm not sure how to rig it.

Do I set the amp to 8ohms -> Captor -> Attenuator output -> 16ohm cab

Or

Set Amp to 16ohms -> captor -> attenuator output -> 16ohm cab ?

The manual for the torpedo captor says the thru output for the speaker bypasses the load box and I can use the 16ohm setting on the amp safely. Is this the same for the attenuator output as well?

Any and all assistance regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks
