A sample from Dan Swanö

That sounds pretty good for plugging into an interface and using plugins. Pretty cool.

I tired some of those amps from that company, but couldn't get anything sounding good. Maybe I'll try it with the PI. Was he using the power amp sim of the amp plugin or the toredo plugin?

Well I just received a mail from Dan, here we go :

I used an Ibanez RG2610Z. 10-46 Elixir strings. 0.96mm Dunlop pick (!!)

Plugged it straight into the PreSonus Digimax (pro version) Hi-Z using a 2m George L cable
(Normally I use a TS9 before the D/A, but it's in the studio with Memory Garden right now)

LePou LeCto and the "start-up" configuration of the PI-101 plug in

Since there are not 2 records with the same guitar sound out there, I always go with a reference sound
and try my best to get in the same ballpark.

This particular clip was inspired by the rhythm sound on the latest Symphony X album, amazingly mixed by my friend Jens Bogren.

Here is the screenshot of what I did to get the rhythm sound.

Remember that killer VST amps like LePou is very picky with the signal being fed into the amp. So if you have a darker or brighter pick up than mine, you might have to use an EQ before the Amp, unless you have a TS9 or similar laying around.

They are truly sound viagra for rhythm guitars!!

So, Rogue, from what I see on the screenshot, Dan is not using the power amp section of the PI-101. ;)
