Multiple amp to Multiple cab "Patchbay"

If I were to put 4 input jacks for "Amp In" and 4 jacks for "Cab Out' in a box and just use speaker patch cables to choose what amp and cab I want to use will I run into any problems? I'd only be using one head/cab at a time.

Starting to get lazy moving the amps around to swap speaker cables all the time.

You open yourself up to making a tiny mistake that costs you an output transformer. be more specific about the wiring in said box.

Just buy four speaker cables?

I think Kruze has a box that does this. Evidently it also has a built in load in case you don’t have a cab hooked up.

I could buy the 4 cables but then I have to move all my cabs which are stacked up at the moment. It's just me being lazy.

Anyway, I realized I explained it wrong and didn't think it through. Here's a picture explaining how I'd mount the jacks to the box and lay it out lol

Essentially a cut down version of the Ampeg system selector.

The jacks are just wired together front to back.
