Negative "jumper" for Speaker Cab

Need a simple 12"-18" negative wire for a 212 speaker cab i'm wiring up. I don't want to solder the connections, just the little "flat female" connectors are suitable.

Simpler to buy one made-up, or make one from lamp cordage?
 
You can buy 14awg stranded wire at Home Depot, or most other hardware stores.

If I'm using spade terminals I usually remove any plastic from them, and solder it to the wire, but crimping will be fine.
