Maybe this goes here and maybe not I don't know. MIDI is technical so that's why I'm putting it here.

Can someone please direct me to SOMETHING, an article, a demo, a tutorial that explains how to program using MIDI.
Everything I lookup shows the history of midi talks about how it is great for making things talk to one another but nowhere can I find something showing me an example of how to do it.

I have a VH4 and I use a midi controller to change channels. Diezel has made that easy and its well explained in the manual.
However I also have a fractal FX8 and I just bought a one control crocodile tail. SO I should be able to hook the crocodile tail up to the "in" of the FX8 and from the FX8 out go to the VH4 and with the push of a button on the crocodile tail I should be able to switch channels on the VH4 and pull up a particular set of effects on the FX8. But apparently that would require a 6 year degree in MIDI signalling .

I will gladly pay someone to show me how to work this shit.

Did this get worked out?
I can break down simple
midi in's and out's pretty
easy. MIDI is not a hard
long drawn out learning
curve. The hardware we use
is sometimes tougher then
learning then MIDI.

The IBM Engineer that
designed MIDI never saw
it getting so popular, else
he would have made it
more powerful then it is.
