So I can get this dual Octal probe for a few bucks more than I have seen the single probe with shipping. Other than matching up the tubes in pairs is there any pro/cons in getting a double over a single probe?? Heres the link:

https://www.amazon.com/Nobsound-Current-Probes-Tester-Amplifier/dp/B0777F8DBK/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522355374&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=octal+bias+probe

Thanks!

I would think twice over flipping the 100 bucks for a bias rite over that thing.

As it turns out another player here in town as well as an amp tech I spoke to were familiar with this probe. The player I spoke to still uses his and the tech I spoke to had checked it out and said it was solid. I ordered it so if its junk when I get it back it goes...

I would be worried about the meter that it comes with . If you have a multimeter you can pick up a duel tube bias probe that is just a couple of sockets with leads and a switch for switching from tube to tube for less than $30.

I have one like this that I've been using for years

These are good for quads too? I guess you'd bias in pairs? I like this one. And if you recommend even better!!

I wound up getting that probe in my original post. I was a little skeptical about the meters as well but its quite a bit better than what I expected. I did an A/B with an amp with external bias points and my multi meter, then plugged in this probe. It was spot on to my meter. No variance whatsoever which I was pretty happy with. I use my meter quite often for other stuff and at least with this thing I can leave it in my bag with spare tubes, fuses, etc. and not have to worry about it. Thanks for the replies though. :)

I used Eurotubes when I started out 11 years ago. It converts to mA. Many ways to skin this cat.

Shipee froma Hong Kong.

I bought one like that on Ebay from SRS. Think it was $40? Had it 5-6 years now, no issues whatsoever.

For single adjustment amps, I have the Eurotubes Bias One. It's built like a tank, had it several years now as well. Plus, it read PV as well.
