Put new tubes in my Sig:x

The settings are pretty extreme. Gain and boost are at 3 o clock. 100w, More. Treble and at 3 o clock, mids at 11, bass at 1, presence at 3 and depth at noon.

What tubes did you roll through?

My sig:x is in need of a retube. I have not played it for a year or two. I need to pick up some KT88's and get it rolling! Iove that amp. I only can have five active rigs at a time... Lol.

Yeah.... i retubed my VHT UL recently with Fryette factory matched EH KT88....and i settled with V1 & V2 Tungsol rest are Rubies china 12ax7A....

The EH 12ax7 is a miss on the UL thou...

Whats ya preamps on ya Siggy ? And has anybody found EH KT88 to be darker like their EL34 ?

Sounds bad ass, as usual, Kyle
Thanks man! Do you still drop in the UG Forums? I haven't been there in ages.

And I just used JJ tubes in this. They seem to work pretty well.

I always flip gear but after sitting down with it and learning the amp better I couldn't get rid of it.

Nah. I don't hang out on forums much these days but when I do I'm either here or the Splawn boards. GGF seems really active so I may kick it over there too when I get bored.

JJ's seem to be getting a lot of hate lately but I've been really happy with them. Granted I have not bought any new ones in about a year. Really dig the clip. Very metalcore'ish :D

I only changed the power tubes on my Sig X twice. The preamp tubes were changed once.
Actually your settings are not that different than how mine is set up right now. I run the bass and depth higher.
