This is a band I always overlooked, but goddamnit, this band is absolute GENIUS, and absolutely underrated in my view. Several months ago I happened upon their live video at Brixton Academy 1990. Two words, BLOWN AWAY! Mike Patton has got to be one of the greatest frontmen that has ever graced a stage. Just phenomenal! Their album The Real Thing is an unbelievable album from start to finish. It amazes the amount of control Patton has and the the complex melodies he can sing. I can't even hum them because they're so challenging. The keys add drama to the sound, and the band is super tight. These guys don't even remotely get enough credit.

Who agrees?

Top band. Glad I got to see them at Download a few years back. Some of my friends got to see them play at the Old Trout in Windsor circa '95. Wish I could've made it.

My favourite live band of all time. I have seen them every time they have visited Sydney, Australia since 89 when The Real Thing album blew up. Mike Patton is a musical genius imo.

I've been a BIG fan since the early 90s. The Real Thing, Angel Dust, King For A Day, Album of the Year.
Fcking solid albums...
Patton was one of the BEST frontman and Jim Martin's playing and tone was SICK!

Agreed. And a great cameo on Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Whatever happened to him?

He quit music to become a farmer. He pops up on guitar with Infectious Grooves from time to time.

Pumpkin farmer to be exact I believe.

Anyone know what his mainstay rig was back in the day? For some reason I remember it being Mesa based? Triaxis I think???

I was at the last show Chuck Mosley played. He was a great person and he will be missed. He played the first night of a weekend festival, and we played the second night. He overdosed a few days later. Sad story.

Definitely love some Faith No More. Even the old stuff.

Such a huge band. Extremely tight. Awesome songs and great guitar sound, too! I wish there were still bands like them.
