Hi! New to the forum here.

I'm mostly a single coil blues guy nowadays- but I'm really longing to get started on a new build like a CCV/King Kong style build.

I have built mostly ef86/el86 AC15 style amps prior.

Does anyone have some good guidelines where to start, schematic etc for a dual channel amp?- Just so I can be in the ballpark.

Cheers!

Ceriatone typically has diagrams on their website.

This is not what you will want to hear but Nik often misses some really important information on components and pots when trying to copy Cameron circuits.

1.) I would look up photo's. Get to know some actual KK owners and ask politely for some photo's as the layouts provided by Ceriaclone are not always what is in the circuit.

2.) Take your time and do neat clean work.

I think a Yeti or Chupacabra might be a better choice. The King Kong lead channel is very similar to the Yeti (IIRC). The King Kong (without a kit) is a big jump from an EF86 AC15. Which BTW, I love old Vox tones. That's a home-built Trainwreck Rocket in my avatar.
