Has anyone successfully integrated the JHS Colour box as a pre-amp in between your Torpedo and Recording interface? In my case I am running the Apogee Duet as my interface and then into Garageband and I'm getting nasty dirt and a lower input signal than just going direct from the Torpedo into the Duet. I have yet to try running a 1/4 to XLR cable as my input into the JHS vs. just the standard 1/4 unbalanced cable. I'm hoping this will make the difference. If anyone has successfully integrated the Colour Box into your recording rig, I would love to hear how you have used it.
thanks
RK

The CAB has a balanced output, while I doubt the JHS has that, but that's just a few dBs difference. After the JHS you may consider try to go into the DI in your interface maybe?
