Tone Stack Lift mod in my Plexi R/T modded 1971 JMP Super Lead.
The results are what sounds like an increase in gain (crunchy) and a slight difference in feel, and obviously the tone controls become somewhat redundant. Those looking for an EVH brown sound like tone might find this mod particularly useful, and its great as it is very simple to perform, and easy to engage.

I love the raw mod. I added the pot to mine so I can blend it. The pot makes it really nice. I like it about half way up. Gives you use of the TMB still. Sounds mean.

im def digging with the lift. warmer smoother tone to me. interesting as when i built my plexi i ended up with a 16k slope resister which i believe i read lessens the effect of the tone stack. and it was def giving me a warmer tone going down from 33k. but both sound great, different flavors for sure!

Thank you for checking out my clip.
Yip, there's lots of things you can do with this mod.
Some like to make it foot switchable as a solo boost mod.

I appreciate you checking out my clip, thank you.
If you're looking for a warmer tone you could try bypassing the 33K slope with a 47pF.
It takes a lot of the harshness away from the top-end.

Nice playing.

I like the lift mod. Would be cool to put it on a push pull mid pot to lift. Glip’s pot idea is really cool as well. Regarding the sound, I think it’s a bit brighter without the tone stack.

Thank you for watching and commenting.
I kinda like it better with the lift mod. It is a little brighter and gainy. The mids are really honking and what I like most is the feel. Great string attack.

I think it would work best with a footswicth on/off as a solo boost for live playing.
