I recently got a 8ohm captor and I seem to be getting some clipping when using the unit. I didn't notice it at first as I was using an 'edge of break up' tone but when I try to get a clean tone there is a high end, digital sounding clipping. I'm running a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe/Egnater Tweaker into the captor then into a Steinberg UR28M audio interface. At no point in the signal chain are any indicators showing any clipping so I'm a bit confused. The Fender is set at around 4 on the clean channel volume and the Egnater just above half way but it's only 15w so that shouldn't be causing any issues should it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi the_mcleod,

Captor is 100% analog and when used with no phantom power, 100% passive too. It's really hard to get "digital clipping" that way. ^^

This being said, can you tell us if you're using WoS in your DAW or the analog speaker sim on the Captor?
