I'm selling a fantastic Fryette-era VHT 50ST head, the later EL34 version. It's in very good shape, some dings in the tolex here and there, but functionally 100%.

The amp sounds excellent and easily holds its own against amps costing twice as much. It has one of the best clean channels I've ever heard in a channel switcher, and has absolutely awesome classic-to-hot-rodded Marshall tones on the drive channel. With the (footswitchable) boost feature, it's functionally more like a 3 channel amp, with a clean channel and two levels of gain on the drive channel.

These aren't easy to find, and they are excellent amps. Very usable feature set, great classic to modern tones, very versatile. The EQ is very effective on this amp, and the extra options on each channel (bright & shift on clean channel, edge and shift on drive channel) really open up a lot of different possibilities in terms of dialing in different tones. This is one of Steve Fryette's first Pittbull series designs, and has a dedicated clean channel, unlike the Pittbull Fifty/CL.

* 50 watts, 2x EL34
* (2) channels
* Gain boost available on both channels (footswitchable)
* spring reverb (footswitchable, and able to be automatically assigned to one channel via footswitch)
* great footswitchable effects loop, can be set for pedal or rack level effects, series or parallel operation
* can be used in either Class A or Class A/B mode
* can be used with either tube or solid state rectifier (assignable on the rear panel)
* comes with footswitch (which admittedly looks like it's been well-used but is 100% functional)

I can provide larger/higher resolution pictures upon request.

$850 shipped/PayPal'd.

Will be professionally packaged and shipped insured.

***Seller Notes***

* I can only sell/ship to the continental US (lower 48 states), no exceptions.
* I have 100% positive feedback here, on Reverb, on Ebay, on The Gear Page, on TalkBass, etc.
* Please feel free to ask any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

I gigged/sessioned a Fifty/Twelve for years - EL84 version of Steve's similar topology. Incredible sounds to be found and a GREAT clean channel. These aren't as stiff/dry so if you are scared of a VHT don't be these are friendlier amps with insane build quality.

GLWS!!

Thanks Ron!

Absolute agreed- these amps are certainly more forgiving than most typical VHTs. This is the third one I’ve owned, and they’ve all been absolutely rock solid.
