So, I just ordered up a Bias rite dual octal. This may be a stupid question, but will I still need to remove the corresponding tube fuses, as when biased the usual way? (Sorry, I'm a total noob when it comes to this biasing stuff) It's for Einstein 100, btw. Brian :confused:

I find that channel 2 is so... compressed, even at lower gain settings. Great for endless riffage by itself, but struggles to cut though the mix in the whole band situation. If it was a bit more open/cutting, I'd probably use it more. I'm just wondering what how putting a 12AT7 would effect the...

The V1 in my Einstein has a ruby HG+ selected 12AX7. Just for curiousity, I've tried three other makes of 12AX7's (not selected), and found them all to be somewhat noisy/hissy. Searching online, I haven't found any websites that advertise selling a selected tube. I'd love to try some other...

I'm using a Mesa straight cab with 2 V30's X'd with 2 70th anniversary H30's and it sounds killer! The H30's are definately the dominate speakers here and are the ones I choose to mic. :thumbsup:

I'm already aware that the einstein likes V30's, but I'm talking ohms. Was the einstein built for a 8 ohm cab or a 16 ohm cab(4x12)? Does it even matter? Is one louder than the other? Just trying to get a grasp on this darn ohm thing. Just want whats best for Einy! :? :wink:

Wondering how they might compare to a Vintage 30 or Greenbacks? Also, anybody tried these in an X-pattern with V30's/Greenbacks?
