2 heads and a G system

Has anyone in here connected 2 heads on a G system? I want to use my Herbert on the insert loop and run my Road king also. I want to maintain the different sounds of each. If I just plug the G out to the road king parallel return it will only amplify the Herbert signal- I still want to maintain the color of the Road king pre amp. Anyone crossed this bridge or have any suggestions?
 
Just an update on this- After talking with TC, they said run the road king exactly like the insert for the Herbert on loop 4- then by switching between which loops are active it decides the preamp/ preamps. After a long weekend of frustration and slow progress it is all up and working- I still have to dial in presets a little but It sounds MONSTROUS!
