Bad Input Jack?

This is odd. The input jack on my Hamer may be going bad. I changed cables, checked all the solder connections for the pots, jack, pick ups, everything and cleaned it too. When I move my cable just a bit, the sound cuts out. Left alone, its fine, no fading in and out or anything like that. But if I bump it or move the cable a bit, it can cut out. Do I just have a bad jack? It's weird that it would simply fail (Hamer uses top notch parts), but I guess possible.

Bad jack. Jacks will wear out over time. If it's an import model they use cheap jacks.

Thanks! It's a USA made Hamer, so no import. Still, anything can fail I suppose!
