Ok, you always hear about the Ecstacy and Uberschall pedals having 4 or 5 discrete class A gain stages with no opamp or diode clipping. So, what is actually clipping in these pedals? All the pedals I know about have opamps, germanium diodes, silicon diodes, jfet, mosfet, or some other type of clipping components. Knowing what these pedals are made of isn't gonna make me think any more or less of them. I'm just simply curious and they're marketing about the 'mystical' "discrete class A gain stages with no opamp or diode clipping" makes me want to know that much more!
