Help with my Herbert

Hi All,

Just picked up a Herbert... Has EL34s. I biased it up @ ~ 65ma and noticed when I am playing I am getting what I would call volume swells. It seems to cut in and out a bit. This is happening on CH2 and CH3. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Power tubes?

Also if I were to get new tubes what are some good options.

Just went back and re-checked the bias and it was way hot for some reason. Re-adjusted and seems to be much better now.

I'm not a tech so i cannot help all your problems.

The best EL34 for Diezel amps i think:
-sed winged "c" EL34 or
-RUBY EL34BHT
